Looking to Build a Wine Cellar and Happen to Have a Spare $59k?

wine-barrel-caveLadies and gentlemen, here’s a chance to own a serious piece of winemaking history!
Measuring 9′ in diameter, almost 9′ in length, and weighing-in at approximately 2,500 lbs, I would like to present to you the wine cellar to beat all wine cellars! And it’s all yours for $59,000 (OBO).

This barrel was hand-crafted in Europe and then shipped to the United States in the early part of the 1900s. It originally held 3,750 gallons of wine, and was actually in use all the way up until prohibition in 1920. It wasn’t until 2011 when the barrel was uncovered by the Rocky Mountain Barrel Company, who spent 7 months renovating and turning it into a functional piece of winemaking history!

I’d like to point out that Rocky Mountain Barrel Company reached out for me with the info for this post, with the generous offer of a 10% commission if I manage to get it sold. Piece of cake, I say! I know for a fact that all of my readers live in castles, and that a small piece of “furniture” such as we have here wouldn’t at all look out of place in your basement!

So what are you waiting for!?!?!? Don’t let this one-of-a-kind piece of wine barrel craftsmanship slip through your fingers! For more information, contact Skyler Weekes (and for the love of God tell them I sent you!!!) at (720) 220-5184 or sweekes@rockymountainbarrelcompany.com.

The Rocky Mountain Barrel Company giant wine barrel cellar features:
– French Red Oak staircase racking.
– Floor track lighting with dimmers.
– Steel-forged rack & cradle with locking wheels.
– A custom-smoked Plexiglas with tube lighting base.
– 144 bottle capacity.
