French Winemakers Slowly Making Friends with Social Media.

French wineries, like over-tired children, are kicking and screaming but slowly making their way onto social media, a survey has revealed. The survey of 528 wineries in the United States and France conducted by ABLE Social Media Marketing found that while 94% of U.S. vintners were on Facebook, only 53% of their French counterparts were. But the French are slowly coming online. A similar 2010 study by ABLE’s corporate predecessor mysocialwinery.com reported less than 20%…

This is a post that I have been wanting to write for quite some time, but am only just now getting round to it. First of all I wanted to use real examples to illustrate each point, and I knew that would take a certain amount of labor in order to collect each screenshot. I am using wineries as an example of the top 10 mistakes made on Facebook, but it can indeed be applied…

The Great Twitter Wine Exchange–Part 2 of 2

This is part 2 of my Twitter wine exchange. In case you missed the first part, here is a quick rundown: One of the people I have been randomly talking to through Twitter is Kevin Widmer, who goes by the obscure Twitter name of @billybuttock. The rules of our wine exchange were simple: you send me a bottle, I’ll send you a bottle. The only stipulation was that the wine had to be under $20…
